32-METRE HOUSE
In the ongoing project of a hillside house we explore a spatial sequence based on an inverted enfilade, wherein the free-flowing space is divided by a sequence of solid blocks. The structural principle follows the rhythm of empty and solid spaces - the dividing walls and the massive back wall support roof trusses, allowing the rooms to be column-free. The non-structural elements are suspended from the cores, which allows to minimise the building’s contact with the ground and limit the extent of the excavation.
